【你還在追逐外在的快樂嗎？】 真正聰明的人就會發現： 把自己的快樂一直寄託於 外在的色、聲、香、味、觸等 六塵上面，並不保險。 為什麼？因為每個人都無法 真正掌控和保證始終接觸到 適意的六塵。 我們有時會接觸到適意的六塵， 有時會接觸到不適意的六塵。 即便碰到適意的六塵， 生起了快樂，但快樂也極其短暫， 很快就會滅去， 然後我們又要再次去尋找。 吃了好吃的食物，就要聽音樂； 聽了一會兒音樂，開始厭煩， 就這裡參觀參觀，那裡溜達溜達； 玩了一會兒覺得無聊， 就要把電話拿起來跟朋友聊天。 我們需要不停地尋找快樂， 而所找到的快樂只能維持非常短的時間， 之後就會滅去，然後我們又要繼續去找。 一個聰明的人就會知道： 把自己的快樂寄託在這上面， 是不聰明的做法。為什麼？ 因為任何事物若能給我們帶來快樂， 那麼它也必會給我們帶來痛苦。 在座誰有對象？ 對象會一直給我們帶來快樂嗎？ 全禪堂的人都在搖頭。 這就是事實，硬幣永遠有兩面。 這就是五欲的隱患。 ～阿姜巴山（Ajahn Prasan Buddhakulsomsiri） 2017年6月2日

【修行人跟不修行的人有什麽區別？】 修行人跟不修行的人 之間的差別只有一點點： 不修行的人在動的時候 並沒有覺知、沒有覺性， 而我們僅僅只需要在動的時候有覺性。 就是用這樣平常普通的心。 比如現在我們的身體坐著， 我們能夠感覺到我們的身體坐著嗎？ 能感覺到嗎？ 一定要做什麼很特別的事情嗎？ 一定要先把自己的心打壓一下—— 嗯——才去觀身嗎？ 大概能感覺到嗎？ 在我們就只是坐著， 沒有想到修行的時候， 和想到要修行的時候， 心是不同的。能感覺到嗎？ 就是這個才是真正的難點。 一個真正修行非常棒的修行人， 他的心是極其平常普通的， 根本沒有什麼很特別的地方， 但是他有覺性。 記住，最平常的是最好的。 ～阿姜巴山（Ajahn Prasan Buddhakulsomsiri） 2019年3月10日
